     Ada Melvill Simons was born on 9 October 1859 at Singapore.2 She was the daughter of Henry Minchin Simons and Caroline Melvill.2 She was baptised on 8 November 1859 at Singapore.2 She married, firstly, Henry Bayard Rich, son of Colonel F. H. Rich, in May 1881 at Camberwell, London, England.2 She married, secondly, Major Francis Slater Picot after 1884.1 She died on 6 February 1915 at age 55 at Kensington, London, England.2
     Her married name became Picot.1 From May 1881, her married name became Rich.2
