     Maria Catharine Dixie was born in 1845 at South Berstead, Sussex, England.2 She was the daughter of Sir Alexander Beaumont Churchill Dixie, 10th Bt. and Maria Catharine Walters.2 She married Benjamin B. G. Ludford-Astley on 6 August 1863.1 She died on 16 January 1934.1
     From 6 August 1863, her married name became Ludford-Astley.1

     Sir Alexander Beaumont Churchill Dixie, 11th Bt. was born on 22 December 1851 at Sussex, England.1 He was the son of Sir Alexander Beaumont Churchill Dixie, 10th Bt. and Maria Catharine Walters.1 He married, firstly, Lady Florence Caroline Douglas, daughter of Archibald William Douglas, 8th Marquess of Queensberry and Caroline Margaret Clayton, on 3 April 1875 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.1,2 He married, secondly, Alice Jackson, daughter of Joseph Jackson, on 21 July 1906.2 He died in 1924.1
     He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Dixie, of Market Bosworth, co. Leicester [E., 1660] on 8 January 1872.2 He held the office of High Sheriff of Leicestershire in 1876.2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2
