     He held the office of Member of the Renfrewshire County Council.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the 3rd Renfrew Volunter Rifles.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Renfrewshire.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Renfrewshire.1 He lived at Levernholme, Renfrewshire, Scotland.1

Sir John Westall King of Campsie, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir John Westall King of Campsie, 2nd Bt. was born on 19 January 1863.1 He was the son of Sir James King, 1st Bt. and Marian Westall.2 He married Frances Rosa Neve, daughter of John Neve, on 29 April 1897.1 He died on 9 September 1940 at age 77.1
     He was Colonel Commandant of the 4th Volunteer Battalion, Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet King, of Campsie, co. Stirling [U.K., 1888] on 1 October 1911.1
