     She was educated at Clyde School, Woodford, Victoria, Australia.⁵ From 1928, her married name became Murdoch.¹ She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1961.⁵ She was appointed Dame Commander, Order of the British Empire (D.B.E.) in 1963.⁴ She was appointed Companion, Order of Australia (A.C.) in 1989.⁵
