     Alexander Berowald Innes was born on 10 September 1872.1 He was the son of Alexander Innes and Helen Eythan King.2 He married Mary Beveridge, daughter of Erskine Beveridge, on 1 December 1910.1 He died on 18 June 1915 at age 42, killed in action, without issue.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Gordon Highlanders.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Raemoir House, Banchory, Kincardineshire, ScotlandG.1 He fought in the First World War.1

     Sir Ronald Gordon Berowald Innes of Balvenie, 16th Bt. was born on 24 July 1907.1 He was the son of Captain James William Guy Innes and Anna Orrok Stronach Sheila Foster Forbes.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Haughton Fayle, daughter of Alfred Fayle, on 17 October 1933.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Christian Watson, daughter of Lt.-Col. Charles Henry Watson and Ethel Marguerite Piper, on 27 May 1961.1 He died on 26 May 1988 at age 80.1
     Sir Ronald Gordon Berowald Innes of Balvenie, 16th Bt. usually went by his middle name of Berowald. He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was wounded.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Seaforth Highlanders.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1943.1 He was commander of the 7th Battalion, Seaforth Highlanders, psc, GSO(1) WO 1946–48, OC 4th Uganda Battalion KAR and OC Troops Uganda 1948–49 in 1945.1 He was OC of the 4th Uganda Battalion, King's African Rifles.1 He was OC of the Troops, Uganda between 1948 and 1949.1 He succeeded as the 16th Baronet Innes, of Balvenie [N.S., 1628] on 2 September 1978.1

William Alexander Disney Innes was born on 19 April 1910.1 He was the son of Captain James William Guy Innes and Anna Orrok Stronach Sheila Foster Forbes.2 He married, firstly, Mary Alison Burnett-Stuart, daughter of Francis Burnett-Stuart, on 7 June 1939.1 He married, secondly, Patricia Joan Callender on 10 February 2001.1 He died on 20 March 2008 at age 97.3
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Gordon Highlanders.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Banffshire between 1959 and 1971.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Banffshire in 1964.1 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Banffshire between 1971 and 1987.1
