Georgiana Maria Elliot1

     Georgiana Maria Elliot was the daughter of Admiral Hon. Sir George Elliot and Eliza Cecilia Ness.1 She married William Hopetoun Carnegie, 8th Earl of Northesk, son of Admiral William Carnegie, 7th Earl of Northesk and Mary Ricketts, on 14 February 1843.1 She died on 23 February 1874.1
     After her marriage, Georgiana Maria Elliot was styled as Countess of Northesk on 14 February 1843. From 14 February 1843, her married name became Carnegie.

George John Carnegie, 9th Earl of Northesk was born on 1 December 1843.2 He was the son of William Hopetoun Carnegie, 8th Earl of Northesk and Georgiana Maria Elliot.2 He married Elizabeth Georgina Frances Elliot, daughter of Admiral Sir George Augustus Elliot and Hersey Susan Sydney Wauchope, on 28 February 1865 at St. Mary's, Portsea, Hampshire, EnglandG.3 He died on 9 September 1891 at age 47.2
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel between 1873 and 1874 in the Scots Fusilier Guards.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Forfarshire.2 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Hampshire.2 He succeeded as the 9th Lord Rosehill and Eglismauldie [S., 1639] on 5 December 1878.2 He succeeded as the 9th Earl of Northesk [S., 1647] on 5 December 1878.2 He held the office of Representative Peer [Scotland] between 1885 and 1891.2

     Sir Thomas Dacres Butler was born on 3 October 1845 at Hambledon, Hampshire, England.2 He was the son of Colonel Thomas Butler and Arabella Dacres.3,2 He married Nina Helen Elliot, daughter of Admiral Sir George Augustus Elliot and Hersey Susan Sydney Wauchope, on 12 July 1877.3 He died on 29 December 1937 at age 92.3
     He gained the rank of Captain in 1873 in the 52nd Light Infantry.2 He held the office of Usher of the Black Rod, House of Lords between 1892 and 1929.2 He was appointed Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.)2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)3 He lived at Hambledon, Hampshire, England.3

     Colonel Thomas Butler was born on 10 August 1798 at Marylebone, London, England.2,3 He was the son of Thomas Butler and Hester (?)2,3 He was baptised on 18 August 1798 at St. Marylebone Church, Marylebone Road, Marylebone, London, England.3 He married Arabella Dacres, daughter of Vice-Admiral James Dacres and Arabella Boyd Dalrymple, in 1841.4 He died in 1885.4
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the 53rd Regiment.4
