     Captain Samuel William Elphinstone was the son of Admiral John Elphinstone and Amelia Warburton.2 He married Catherine Krewse, daughter of Admiral unknown Krewse.1 He died in 1789.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Russian Navy.1

     Captain Alexander Francis Elphinstone was born on 6 February 1789.1 He was the son of Captain Samuel William Elphinstone and Catherine Krewse.2 He married Amelia Anne Lobach, daughter of A. Lobach, on 5 May 1819.1 He died on 24 September 1865 at age 76.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1 He was allegedly of noble rank in the Russian province of Livonia.1 At Devon, EnglandG, (an unknown value.)1

     Amelia Anne Lobach was the daughter of A. Lobach.2 She married Captain Alexander Francis Elphinstone, son of Captain Samuel William Elphinstone and Catherine Krewse, on 5 May 1819.1 She died on 14 February 1874.1
     From 5 May 1819, her married name became Elphinstone.

     Maj.-Gen. John Elphinstone was born circa 1824.1 He was the son of Captain Alexander Francis Elphinstone and Amelia Anne Lobach.2 He married Charlotte Murray Macgregor, daughter of John Murray Macgregor, on 20 November 1861 at Madras, India. He died on 15 September 1877, without surviving male issue.1
     He gained the rank of Major-General in the Honourable East India Company Service.1

Nicholai William Elphinstone1

     Nicholai William Elphinstone was born on 16 December 1825.1 He was the son of Captain Alexander Francis Elphinstone and Amelia Anne Lobach.2 He married Georgiana Henrietta Arthur, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Rt. Hon. Sir George Arthur, 1st Bt. and Eliza Ord Ussher Smith, on 19 December 1860.1 He died on 3 February 1907 at age 81.1
     He ahd three daughters.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel.1 He held the office of Deputy Commissioner of Punjab.1 He styled himself as Baronet Elphinstone in September 1877, which had been dormant since 1645, on his elder brother's death.1 He was awarded the Chevalier, Legion of Honour.1
