     Major William Pitcairn Campbell was born circa 1825.1 He was the son of Reverend Augustus Campbell and Elizabeth Aspinall.1 He died on 22 March 1855 at Scutari, Turkey, from disease.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the 23rd Royal Welsh Fusiliers.1 He fought in the Crimean War.1
