     Rear-Admiral Henry Duncan Twysden was born on 6 October 1794.1 He was the son of Captain Thomas Twysden and Isabella Duncan.1 He married Mary Twysden, daughter of Sir William Jervis Twysden, 7th Bt. and Frances Wynch, on 22 July 1819.1 He died on 6 October 1872 at age 78.1
     He gained the rank of Rear-Admiral in the Royal Navy.1
