Alice Dudley Coats1

     Alice Dudley Coats was the daughter of Sir James Coats, 1st Bt. and Sarah Ann Auchincloss.2 She married Theodore Frelinghuysen, son of Hon. Frederick Frelinghuysen, on 25 August 1885.1 She died on 2 March 1889, leaving issue.1
     From 25 August 1885, her married name became Frelinghuysen.

Reverend Charles Boutell1

     Marie Jeanne Augustine Adam was the daughter of Charles Henri Adam.2 She married Sir James Coats, 1st Bt., son of Sir Peter Coats and Gloranna McKenzie, on 19 September 1889.1 She died on 22 January 1940.1
     She was appointed Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)1 From 19 September 1889, her married name became Coats.1 She was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1920.1

     Reverend John Chevallier was born in 1774.2 He was the son of Reverend Temple Chevallier and Mary Syer Fiske.2 He was baptised on 30 August 1774 at Aspall, Suffolk, England.3 He married, firstly, Caroline Hepburn, daughter of Captain George Hepburn, in 1808.4,3 He married, secondly, Emily Syer after 1815.4 He married, thirdly, Elizabeth Cole, daughter of John Cole, after 1819.4 He died in 1846.2
     He graduated with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1 Circa 1825 he grew a strain of barley which became Chevallier barley used for breweing.2 He lived at Aspall Hall, Suffolk, EnglandG.5
