     Elizabeth Heron-Maxwell was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir John Shaw Heron-Maxwell of Springkell, 4th Bt. and Mary Heron.^1,2 She married Sir James Dalrymple-Hay of Park Place, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Dalrymple-Hay of Park Place, 1st Bt. and Susan Hay, on 27 September 1819.^1,3 She died on 10 February 1821, in childbirth.^1,4,3 She was also reported to have died on 14 February 1821.³
     From 27 September 1819, her married name became Dalrymple-Hay.¹

     Lt.-Gen. Sir John Shaw Heron-Maxwell of Springkell, 4th Bt. was born on 29 June 1772.² He was the son of Sir William Maxwell of Springkell, 3rd Bt. and Margaret Stewart.² He married Mary Heron, daughter of Patrick Heron of Heron and Lady Elizabeth Cochrane, on 4 January 1802.² He died on 29 January 1830 at age 57.²
     He was also known as John Shaw Maxwell.² He was also known as John Shaw Heron-Maxwell of Springkell.² He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Dumfries Burghs between 1803 and 1812.² He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Maxwell, of Springkell [N.S., 1683] on 4 March 1804.² He gained the rank of Colonel in the 23rd Light Dragoons.²

     Anne Hathorn was born on 17 June 1800 at London, England^G.² She was the daughter of George Hathorn and Sarah Donaldson.^1,2 She married Sir James Dalrymple-Hay of Park Place, 2nd Bt., son of Sir John Dalrymple-Hay of Park Place, 1st Bt. and Susan Hay, on 31 March 1823 at St. Pancras New Church, London, England.¹ She died on 10 July 1838 at age 38.¹
     From March 1823, her married name became Dalrymple-Hay.¹
