     Mary Frances Cruise was the daughter of Sir Francis Richard Cruise.1 She married Edmund Clarence Richard Armstrong, son of Captain Andrew Charles Armstrong and Alice Maria Murdoch, on 10 February 1906.1 She died on 14 May 1953.1
     From 10 February 1906, her married name became Armstrong.1

     Sir Francis Richard Cruise was born in 1834 at Mountjoy Square, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland.2 He died on 26 February 1912.2
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)1 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, in 1861 with a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.)1,2 He was appointed Fellow, Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (F.R.C.P.I.) in 1864.2 He was appointed Knight in 1896.2 He was inventor of the endoscope.2 He lived at 93 Merrion Square West, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1

     Edmund Charles Mark Armstrong was born on 17 February 1914.1 He was the son of Edmund Clarence Richard Armstrong and Mary Frances Cruise.1 He married, firstly, Patricia Phyllis Vassall Adams, daughter of Richard Cecil Vassall Adams, on 14 October 1939.1 He and Patricia Phyllis Vassall Adams were divorced in 1949.1 He married, secondly, Dorice Austin, daughter of William Harold Austin, on 17 August 1951.1 He died on 3 September 2001 at age 87.1
