     Elizabeth Christian Anstruther was the daughter of Brig.-Gen. Robert Anstruther and Lucy Charlotte Hamilton.1 She married Reverend W. H. Deane on 2 November 1837.1 She died on 7 December 1893.1
     From 2 November 1837, her married name became Deane.1

     Sir Alexander Anstruther was born on 10 September 1769.1 He was the son of Sir Robert Anstruther of Balcaskie, 3rd Bt. and Lady Janet Erskine.1 He married Sarah Prendergast, daughter of Thomas Prendergast, on 14 March 1803.1 He died on 16 July 1819 at age 49 at MauritiusG.1,2
     He held the office of Advocate-General of Madras in 1803.1,2 He held the office of Recorder of Bombay in March 1812.1,2 He lived at Thirdpart, Fife, ScotlandG.1 He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.2

     Sarah Prendergast was the daughter of Thomas Prendergast.1 She married, firstly, Captain W. Selby before 1803.1 She married, secondly, Sir Alexander Anstruther, son of Sir Robert Anstruther of Balcaskie, 3rd Bt. and Lady Janet Erskine, on 14 March 1803.1 She died on 15 December 1865.1
     From before 1803, her married name became Selby.1 From 14 March 1803, her married name became Anstruther.1

     Louisa Elphinstone was the daughter of Lt.-Gen. Sir Howard Elphinstone, 1st Bt. and Frances Warburton.1,2 She married, firstly, Lt.-Col. Robert Anstruther, son of Sir Alexander Anstruther and Sarah Prendergast, on 1 October 1832.1 She married, secondly, Andrew Bonar, son of Andrew Bonar, on 15 August 1861.1 She died on 3 October 1903, without issue.1
     From 1 October 1832, her married name became Anstruther.1 From 15 August 1861, her married name became Bonar.1

Lt.-Gen. Sir Howard Elphinstone, 1st Bt.1

     Lt.-Gen. Sir Howard Elphinstone, 1st Bt. was born on 4 March 1773.2 He was the son of Admiral John Elphinstone and Amelia Warburton.2 He married Frances Warburton, daughter of John Warburton, on 14 February 1803.2 He died on 28 April 1846 at age 73.2
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)2 He fought in the Egyptian Campaign.2 He fought in the Capture of the Cape of Good Hope.2 He was Colonel-Commandant of the Royal Engineers.2 He fought in the Peninsular Wars.2 He was created 1st Baronet Elphinstone, of Sowerby, Cumberland [U.K.] on 25 May 1816.2
