     Lina MacLeay was born on 11 August 1868.2 She was the daughter of Colonel Alexander Caldcleugh MacLeay.1 She married Rear-Admiral Sir Robert Keith Arbuthnot, 4th Bt., son of Major Sir William Wedderburn Arbuthnot, 3rd Bt. and Alice Margaret Tompson, on 11 December 1897.1,2 She died on 29 May 1935 at age 66.3
     From 11 December 1897, her married name became Arbuthnot.1

     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Army Service Corps.1
