     Captain Arthur Halsey was born on 31 July 1869.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Thomas Frederick Halsey, 1st Bt. and Mary Julia Wells.2 He married, firstly, Blanche Helen Kerr Pechell, daughter of Admiral Mark Robert Pechell and Ellen Maria Derby, on 14 April 1909.1 He married, secondly, Dorothy Mary Leatham, daughter of Samuel Gurney Leatham and Annie Gertrude La Trobe Bateman, on 3 January 1922.1 He died on 15 August 1957 at age 88.1
     He fought in the Boer War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1919.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1

     Rt. Hon. Sir Thomas Frederick Halsey, 1st Bt. was born on 9 December 1839.2 He was the son of Thomas Plumer Halsey and Frederica Johnson.2 He married Mary Julia Wells, daughter of Hon. Frederick Octavius Wells, on 28 September 1865.2 He died on 12 February 1927 at age 87.2
     Rt. Hon. Sir Thomas Frederick Halsey, 1st Bt. usually went by his middle name of Frederick.1 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for West Hertfordshire between 1855 and 1906.2 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1861 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1864 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2 He gained the rank of Major and Honorary Lieutenant-Colonel in the Hertfordshire Yeomanry.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Hertfordshire between 1874 and 1885.2 He held the office of Vice-Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire.2 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.)2 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)2 He was created 1st Baronet Halsey, of Gaddesdon, co. Hereford [U.K.] on 22 June 1920.1

     Dorothy Mary Leatham was the daughter of Samuel Gurney Leatham and Annie Gertrude La Trobe Bateman.1 She married Captain Arthur Halsey, son of Rt. Hon. Sir Thomas Frederick Halsey, 1st Bt. and Mary Julia Wells, on 3 January 1922.1 She died on 12 December 1950.1
     Her married name became Halsey.

Alan Kenneth McKenzie Clark was born on 13 April 1928 at Paddington, London, England.2 He was the son of Kenneth MacKenzie Clark, Baron Clark and Elizabeth Jane Martin.1,2 He married Caroline Jane Beuttler, daughter of Colonel Leslie Brindley Bream Beuttler and Pamela Rosemary Blake, in 1958.1 He died on 5 September 1999 at age 71 at Saltwood Castle, Saltwood, Kent, England.2
     He wrote the book The Donkeys, published 1961.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Plymouth Sutton between 1974 and 1992.2 He held the office of Minister of State for Trade between 1986 and 1989.2 He held the office of Minister for Defence Procurement between 1989 and 1992.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kensington and Chelsea between 1997 and 1999.2
