     Mary Duff Stirling Smurthwaite was born on 22 May 1891.1 She married, firstly, Edward Lutterell G. Byrom, son of Edward Byrom, in 1914 at Paddington, London, EnglandG.1 She married, secondly, Sir Roger Thomas Twysden, 10th Bt., son of James Stevenson Twysden and Aileen Frances Mary Wilson-Todd, on 26 January 1917. She and Sir Roger Thomas Twysden, 10th Bt. were divorced in 1926. She died on 27 June 1938 at age 47 at Sante Fe, New Mexico, U.S.A.G.1
     From 1914, her married name became Byrom.1 Her married name became Twysden.

     Sir Anthony Roger Duncan Twysden, 11th Bt. was born on 11 March 1918. He was the son of Sir Roger Thomas Twysden, 10th Bt. and Mary Duff Stirling Smurthwaite. He died on 10 October 1946 at age 28.
     He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Twysden, of East Peckham, co. Kent [E., 1611] on 23 July 1934.
