Randal Arthur Henry Plunkett, 18th Lord Dunsany was born on 25 August 1906.1 He was the son of Edward John Morton Drax Plunkett, 17th Lord Dunsany and Lady Beatrice Child-Villiers.2 He married, firstly, Vera de Sà Sottomaior, daughter of Dr. Genesio de Sà Sottomaior and Julieta (?), on 23 August 1938.3 He and Vera de Sà Sottomaior were divorced in 1947.3 He married, secondly, Sheila Victoria Katrin Philipps, daughter of Sir Henry Erasmus Edward Philipps, 2nd Bt., on 8 October 1947.1 He died circa 8 February 1999.
He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He fought in the North-West Frontier in 1930.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was Irish Grand Bailiff, Order of St. Lazarus.1 He retired from the military in 1947, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the Indian Cavalry (The Guides.)1 He succeeded as the 18th Lord Dunsany [I., c. 1462] on 25 October 1957.1

Randal Arthur Henry Plunkett, 18th Lord Dunsany, son of Edward John Morton Drax Plunkett, 17th Lord Dunsany and Lady Beatrice Child-Villiers, on 23 August 1938.1 She and Lt.-Col. Randal Arthur Henry Plunkett, 18th Lord Dunsany were divorced in 1947.1 She married, thirdly, Sir Walter Pretyman, son of Colonel Rt. Hon. Randal Arthur Henry Plunkett, 18th Lord Dunsany and Vera de Sà Sottomaior.2 He married Maria Alice Villela de Carvalho, daughter of Colonel Scipiao de Carvalho, in 1982.1 He died on 24 May 2011 at age 71.3
