Randal Arthur Henry Plunkett, 18th Lord Dunsany was born on 25 August 1906.1 He was the son of Edward John Morton Drax Plunkett, 17th Lord Dunsany and Lady Beatrice Child-Villiers.2 He married, firstly, Vera de Sà Sottomaior, daughter of Dr. Genesio de Sà Sottomaior and Julieta (?), on 23 August 1938.3 He and Vera de Sà Sottomaior were divorced in 1947.3 He married, secondly, Sheila Victoria Katrin Philipps, daughter of Sir Henry Erasmus Edward Philipps, 2nd Bt., on 8 October 1947.1 He died circa 8 February 1999.
     Lt.-Col. Randal Arthur Henry Plunkett, 18th Lord Dunsany was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.1 He fought in the North-West Frontier in 1930.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was Irish Grand Bailiff, Order of St. Lazarus.1 He retired from the military in 1947, with the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel, late of the Indian Cavalry (The Guides).1 He succeeded to the title of 18th Lord Dunsany [I., c. 1462] on 25 October 1957.1
