Admiral Sir Frederick Tower Hamilton was born on 8 March 1856.2 He was the son of Captain Henry George Hamilton and Fanny Elizabeth Tower.1,2 He married Maria Walpole Keppel, daughter of Admiral Hon. Sir Henry Keppel and Jane Elizabeth West, on 3 December 1889.1 He died on 4 October 1917 at age 61.2
Admiral Sir Frederick Tower Hamilton fought in the Zulu War in 1879, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.).1 He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.).1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM King Edward VII between 1906 and 1907.2 He was decorated with the award of Grand Cordon, Legion of Honour.2 He gained the rank of Admiral in the service of the Royal Navy.2 He lived at Anmer Hall, King's Lynn, Norfolk, England.2
