Hon. Richard Sebastion Willoughby Dickinson was born on 15 January 1897.2 He was the son of Willougby Hyett Dickinson, 1st Baron Dickinson and Minnie Elizabeth Gordon Cumming Meade.1 He married May Southey Lovemore, daughter of Charles Benjamin Lovemore and Georgina Elizabeth Mabel Southey, on 15 May 1924.2 He died on 27 July 1935 at age 38.2
Hon. Richard Sebastion Willoughby Dickinson was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Coldstream Guards and RAF, formerly RNAS served WW I (despatches, Croix de Guerre).2 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Royal NAval Air Service.2 He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1919, where he was mentioned in despatches.2 He was decorated with the award of Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1916.2 He was decorated with the award of Croix de Guerre.2 He was Assistant Chief Secretary to the Government of North Rhodesia.2
