     Gwendolen Mary Speir was born on 29 August 1870. She was the daughter of Robert Thomas Napier Speir and Hon. Emily Gifford.1 She married Charles Thomas Bruce, son of Hon. Thomas Charles Bruce and Sarah Caroline Thornhill, on 7 July 1914.1 She died on 2 December 1934 at age 64.1
     Her married name became Bruce.

     Charles Thomas Bruce was born on 21 February 1865.2 He was the son of Hon. Thomas Charles Bruce and Sarah Caroline Thornhill.2 He married, firstly, Edith Mary Parker, daughter of Samuel Sandbach Parker of Aigburth, on 8 July 1897.2 He married, secondly, Gwendolen Mary Speir, daughter of Robert Thomas Napier Speir and Hon. Emily Gifford, on 7 July 1914.2 He died on 23 October 1915 at age 50, from an illness.2
     Charles Thomas Bruce was admitted to Royal Company of Archers.2
