     He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Engineers.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He lived at Rose Hill, over Alderley Edge, Cheshire, EnglandG.      Her married name became de Ferranti.

Bernard Thomas Brassey, 2nd Baron Brassey of Apethorpe and Crystal Gloria Gore.1 He married, firstly, Myrna Elizabeth Baskervyle-Glegg, daughter of Lt.-Col. John Baskervyle-Glegg and Ethne Woollan, on 15 October 1958.1 He married, secondly, Caroline Evill, daughter of Lt.-Col. Godfrey Ariel Evill and Nesta Herbert, on 17 October 1978.2 He died on 7 May 2015 at age 82.3
     He was educated at Stowe School, Buckingham, Buckinghamshire, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Grenadier Guards.4 He retired from the military in 1967.4 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Brassey [U.K., 1922] on 28 June 1967.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Brassey of Apethorpe, of Apethorpe, co.
