Dunsterville, in June 1958 at Chard, Somerset, England.1 He died on 19 December 1994 at age 66 at Westmisnter, London, England.1

     He graduated from Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, London, England, in 1924.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.) in 1940.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1944.1 He was Commander-in-Chief of the British forces in Singapore in 1954.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1955.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to HM Queen Elizabeth II.1 He wrote the book Wingate in Peace and War, published 1972.1
