     Major Southwell Greville was born in February 1822.1 He was the son of Algernon Greville and Caroline Graham.1 He married Jane Tronson, daughter of L. Tronson, on 23 March 1847.1 He died on 16 February 1910.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Bengal Fusiliers.1 He fought in the 1st Sikh War in 1845.1 He fought in the Indian Mutiny in 1857.1

     He gained the rank of Captain.1 He fought in the Zulu War between 1878 and 1879.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches.1 He was Assistant Embarkation Staff Officer between 1914 and 1919.1 He was King's Messenger, War Office in 1919.1

     He fought in the First World War, in Mesopotamia and Persia.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Army.1 He fought in the 3rd Afghan War in 1919.1 He fought in the Waziristan Campaign between 1919 and 1924.1
