     Muriel Douglas-Pennant, Viscountess Daventry was born on 8 August 1869.1 She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Hon. Archibald Charles Henry Douglas-Pennant and Hon. Harriet Ella Gifford.1,2 She married Captain Rt. Hon. Edward Algernon FitzRoy, son of Charles FitzRoy, 3rd Baron Southampton and Hon. Ismania Catherine Nugent, on 19 November 1891.1 She died on 8 July 1962 at age 92.1
     Her married name became Fitzroy. She was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1918.1 She was appointed Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.G.St.J.)1 She was created 1st Viscountess Daventry, of Daventry, co. Northampton [U.K.] on 6 May 1943, with a special remainder to heirs of her body.1

     Captain John Fitzhardinge Paul Butler, V.C. was born on 20 December 1888 at Berkeley, Gloucestershire, EnglandG.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Francis John Paul Butler and Hon. Elspeth Fitzhardinge Gifford.1 He died on 5 September 1916 at age 27 at Matombo, TanzaniaG, from wounds received in action.2 He was buried at Morogoro Cemetery, Morogoro, TanzaniaG.2
     He fought in the First World War.1 He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.)1 He was awarded the Victoria Cross (V.C.) on 23 August 1915, for his actions on 17 November 1914 and 27 December 1914. "In the Cameroons with a party of 13 men he went into thick bush and attacked and defeated a much greater force of the enemy. A machine gun and many loads of ammunition were captured. Whilst on patrol duty with a few men, he swam the Ekin River under heavy fire, carried out his reconnaissance on the far bank and swam back to safety."3

     Robert Oliver Fitzroy, 2nd Viscount Daventry was born on 10 January 1893.1 He was the son of Captain Rt. Hon. Edward Algernon FitzRoy and Muriel Douglas-Pennant, Viscountess Daventry.1 He married Grace Zoë Guinness, daughter of Claude Hume Campbell Guinness and Zoë Virginie Nugent, on 5 September 1916.2 He died on 19 January 1986 at age 93.1
     Robert Oliver Fitzroy, 2nd Viscount Daventry usually went by his middle name of Oliver.1 He was educated at Royal Naval College, Osborne, Isle of Wight, EnglandG.1 He was educated at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Devon, EnglandG.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.1 He fought in the Second World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He was Director of Minesweeping between 1940 and 1943.1 He was commander of the H.M.S.      Major Anthony Dermot Melloney Musker was the son of Major Herbert Musker.1 He married Hon. Mary Angela FitzRoy, daughter of Robert Oliver Fitzroy, 2nd Viscount Daventry and Grace Zoë Guinness, on 2 November 1940.1 He died on 8 August 1959, killed in a motor racing accident.1
     Major Anthony Dermot Melloney Musker usually went by his middle name of Dermot.1
