     He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)2

     Mary Katharine Hirst was the daughter of Samuel Hirst.1 She married, firstly, Hon. Edward Christian Kitson, son of James Kitson, 1st Baron Airedale and Emily Christiana Cliff, on 14 February 1903.1,2 She married, secondly, Walter John Burt on 15 July 1926.2 She died on 7 September 1944.2
     From 14 February 1903, her married name became Kitson.1 From 15 July 1926, her married name became Burt.2
