     He gained the rank of Captain in the Bengal Horse Artillery.1 He fought in the Battle of Moodkee on 21 December 1845.1

     Sir William Eure was born circa 1602.2 He was the son of William Eure, 4th Lord Eure and Lucy Noel.2 He died on 2 July 1644 at Marston Moor, EnglandG, killed in action.2 He was buried on 7 July 1644 at York Minster, York, Yorkshire, England.2
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Regiment of Horse.2 He fought in the Battle of Marston Moor on 2 July 1644.2
