     Henry Jermyn, 3rd Baron Jermyn was born in 1636.1 He was the son of Thomas Jermyn and Rebecca Rodway.1 He married Judith Poley, daughter of Sir Edmund Poley.1 He died on 6 April 1708 at Cheveley, Suffolk, England.2,1
     He was created 1st Baron Dover [England] on 13 May 1685.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 17 August 1686.1 He was created 1st Earl of Dover [England] on 9 July 1689, Jacobite.1 He was created 1st Baron Jermyn of Raystowe [England] on 9 July 1689, Jacobite.1 He was created 1st Baron of Ipswich [England] on 9 July 1689, Jacobite.1 He was created 1st Viscount Cheveley [England] on 9 July 1689, Jacobite.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Jermyn, of St. Edmundsbury, co. Suffolk [E., 1643] on 1 April 1703.1 On his death his titles became extinct.3
