     He was created 1st Baron Dover [England] on 13 May 1685.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) on 17 August 1686.1 He was created 1st Earl of Dover [England] on 9 July 1689, Jacobite.1 He was created 1st Baron Jermyn of Raystowe [England] on 9 July 1689, Jacobite.1 He was created 1st Baron of Ipswich [England] on 9 July 1689, Jacobite.1 He was created 1st Viscount Cheveley [England] on 9 July 1689, Jacobite.1 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Jermyn, of St. Edmundsbury, co.
