Frank Robert Lowth was born on 7 June 1850 at Bengal, India.1 He was the son of Francis Lowth and Elizabeth Theresa Durand.1 He married May Florence de Rune Leslie, daughter of John Leslie, on 9 August 1888 at Banbridge, County Down, IrelandG.1 He died in 1931 at Clarence House, 8 Granville Road, Eastbourne, Sussex, England.1
     He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.)1
