     Vice-Admiral Constantine Richard Moorsom was born on 22 September 1792.1 He was the son of Admiral Sir Robert Moorsom and Eleanor Scarth.1 He married Mary Maude, daughter of Jacob Maude, in 1822.1 He died on 26 May 1861 at age 68 at Montagu, Russell Square, London, England.1
     He was educated at Royal Naval College, Portsmouth, Hampshire, EnglandG.1 He wrote the book On the Principles of Naval Tactics, published 1843.1 He gained the rank of Vice-Admiral on 10 September 1857.1 He was chairman of the London and North-Western Railway.1
