     Bernard William Kenny was born on 8 April 1892.1 He was the son of William Charles Kenny and Lucy Connolly.1 He died on 19 November 1915 at age 23 at Gallipoli, Turkey, killed in action by British artillery fire falling short.1
     He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Sub-Lieutenant in the Howe 1st Royal Marines Battalion, Royal Naval Volunteer reserve.1
