     Sir Sholto Courtenay Mackenzie Douglas, 5th Bt. was born on 27 June 1890.1 He was the son of Donald Sholton Mackenzie Douglas and Edith Elizabeth Anne Robinson.1 He married Lorna Tichborne Nangle, daughter of Hugh Gerald Nangle, on 3 June 1929.1 He and Lorna Tichborne Nangle were divorced in 1960.1 He died on 9 June 1986 at age 95.2
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Seaforth Highlanders.1 He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918.1 He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945.1 He succeeded as the 5th Baronet Douglas, of Glenbervie, co. Kincardine [U.K., 1831] on 28 October 1954.1 He lived at Glenbervie, Kincardineshire, Scotland.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.2
