She was the daughter of George Lockhart, 2nd of Carnwath and Lady Euphemia Montgomerie.2 She married, firstly, John Fleming, 6th Earl of Wigton, son of William Fleming, 5th Earl of Wigton and Lady Henrietta Seton.1 She married, secondly, Peter MacElligot. She died on 24 November 1762 at age 59.
     Her married name became MacElligot. Her married name became Fleming.1
