     James Powell was baptised on 29 July 1737 at St. Peter le Poor, London, EnglandG.1,2 He was the son of David Powell and Susanna Thistlethwayte.1 He married Anne Cornthwaite, daughter of Reverend Thomas Cornthwaite, on 8 November 1775.1 He died on 25 February 1824 at age 86.1
     He lived at Wattisfield, Suffolk, EnglandG.1 He lived at Clapton, London, EnglandG.1

     Anne Cornthwaite was born on 15 May 1759.2 She was the daughter of Reverend Thomas Cornthwaite.1 She married James Powell, son of David Powell and Susanna Thistlethwayte, on 8 November 1775.1 She died on 27 August 1831 at age 72.1
     From 8 November 1775, her married name became Powell.1

     Reverend Thomas Baden Powell was born on 14 October 1786.1 He was the son of James Powell and Anne Cornthwaite.1 He married Sarah Louisa Cotton, daughter of Reverend Nathaniel Cotton, on 22 May 1811.1 He died on 25 April 1868 at age 81.1
     He graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1808 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was a Fellow between 1808 and 1812 at Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG.1 He was the Rector at Newick, Sussex, EnglandG.1 He held the office of Prebendary of Chichester.1

     Sarah Louisa Cotton was the daughter of Reverend Nathaniel Cotton.1 She married Reverend Thomas Baden Powell, son of James Powell and Anne Cornthwaite, on 22 May 1811.1 She died on 13 April 1835.1
     From 22 May 1811, her married name became Powell.1

     He graduated from Exeter College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, in 1839 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was admitted to Middle Temple in 1846 entitled to practise as a Barrister-at-Law.1 He was the Rector in 1868 at Newick, Sussex, EnglandG.1
