Charles Oswald Hugh Clifford, 11th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh was born on 24 April 1887.1 He was the son of William Hugh Clifford, 10th Baron Clifford of Chudleigh and Catherine Mary Bassett.2 He married, secondly, Clare Mary Mayne, daughter of Captain Jasper Graham Mayne and Cecily Mary Agnes Weld, on 3 January 1940.1 He married, firstly, Dorothy Hornyold, daughter of Alfred Joseph Hornyold and Alice de la Chere, on 6 November 1917.1 He died on 1 February 1962 at age 74, without male issue.1
