     William Elliot Young was born on 6 September 1910.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Alban Young, 9th Bt. and Frances Clara Elliot-Murray-Kynynmound.2 He married Mary Macdonald, daughter of Reverend John Macdonald, on 1 September 1939.1 He died on 27 May 1942 at age 31 at Libya, killed in action.1
     He was Captain Royal Army Medical Corps WW II.1
