     Thomas William Best was born on 23 January 1844.1 He was the son of Hon. Reverend Samuel Best and Emma Duke.2 He married Harriet Royds Grey, daughter of Henry Anthony Grey, on 16 September 1879.1 He died on 3 January 1909 at age 64.1
     He was Major WR Regt, Ch Constable Merioneths in 1883.1

     He was Justice of the Peace (J.P.) Glos 1930.1 He was educated Shrewsbury and Ch Ch Oxford.1 Tea planter Assam.1

     Humphrey Willie Best was born on 2 July 1884.1 He was the son of Thomas William Best and Harriet Royds Grey.2 He married Helen Grace Meakin, daughter of Lewis James Meakin, on 28 July 1914.1 He died on 29 April 1959 at age 74.1
     He was Captain Royal Navy WW I, recalled as Cdre 1939.1 He was Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1919.1 He was Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1944.1
