     Hugh Arthur Wardell-Yerburgh was born on 11 January 1938.1 He was the son of Geoffrey Bassett Wardell-Yerburgh and Elizabeth Alis Georgina Kenyon.1 He married Janet Clouston Bewley Cathie, daughter of Dr. Ian Aysgarth Bewley Cathie, on 2 April 1966.1 He died on 28 January 1970 at age 32, killed in a car accident.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He graduated from Bristol University, Bristol, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)1 He was an oarsman, winning an Olympic Silver Medal.1 He was a senior analyst for Plessys Radar Corp.1

     Janet Clouston Bewley Cathie is the daughter of Dr. Ian Aysgarth Bewley Cathie.1 She married, firstly, Hugh Arthur Wardell-Yerburgh, son of Geoffrey Bassett Wardell-Yerburgh and Elizabeth Alis Georgina Kenyon, on 2 April 1966.1 She married, secondly, Sir David James Scott Cooksey, son of Dr. Frank Cooksey, on 19 May 1973.1 She and Sir David James Scott Cooksey were divorced in 2003.2
     Janet Clouston Bewley Cathie also went by the nick-name of Poppy.1 From 2 April 1966, her married name became Wardell-Yerburgh.1 From 19 May 1973, her married name became Cooksey.1

     Sir David James Scott Cooksey was born on 14 May 1940 at Sutton, Surrey, England.2 He was the son of Dr. Frank Cooksey.1 He married, firstly, Janet Clouston Bewley Cathie, daughter of Dr. Ian Aysgarth Bewley Cathie, on 19 May 1973.1 He and Janet Clouston Bewley Cathie were divorced in 2003.2 He married, secondly, Mary Ann Lutyens in 2011.2 He died on 28 January 2024 at age 83.2
     He graduated from St. Edmund Hall, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)2 He was an engineer with De La Rue between 1966 and 1971.2 He was manager of Intercobra between 1971 and 1983.2 He was founder of Advent Venture Partners in 1980.2 He was appointed Knight in 1993.2 He was chairman of London and Continental Railways between 2006 and 2011.2 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.) in 2007.2
