     John Alfred Wigan was born on 11 September 1787.1 He was the son of Edward Wigan and Jane Bond.2 He married Elizabeth Pratt Lewis, daughter of William Lewis, on 21 September 1815.1 He died on 16 November 1869 at age 82.1
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)1 He lived at Clare House, East Malling, Kent, England.1 He had 12 other children.1
