     Thomas Howard was the son of William Howard and Jane Dalston.1 He married, firstly, Hon. Barbara Lowther, daughter of John Lowther, 1st Viscount Lonsdale and Katherine Thynne, circa 1703.2 He married, secondly, Barbara Musgrave, daughter of Philip Musgrave and Hon. Mary Legge, in 1720.1 He married, thirdly, Mary Smith, daughter of unknown Smith, in 1734.1 He died in 1740.1

     Captain Peter D'Arcy Joseph Maxwell-Stuart, 20th of Traquair was born on 16 November 1922.1 He is the son of Francis Joseph Maxwell-Stuart, 19th of Traquair and Dorothy Mary Hartley.1 He married Flora Mary Carr-Saunders, daughter of Sir Alexander Morris Carr-Saunders and Teresa Molyneux-Seel, on 1 September 1956.1 He died in 1990.1
     He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Indian Army.1 He was managing director of Vickers Holdings Pty and Vickers Australia, and director of Vickers in 1975.1
