Walter Angelo Fox-Strangways, 8th Earl of Ilchester was born on 24 September 1887.1 He was the son of Maurice Walter Fox-Strangways and Louisa Blanche Phillips.1 He married Laure Georgine Emilie Mazaraki, daughter of Evanghelos Georgios Mazaraki, on 8 April 1916.1 He died on 4 October 1970 at age 83.1

Somerset, Baron of Woodford Strangways, co. Dorset [G.B., 1741] on 21 August 1964.2 He succeeded to the title of 8th Lord Ilchester and Stavordale, Baron of Redlynch, co. Somerset [G.B., 1747] on 21 August 1964.2
