     Colonel Richard Octavius Vyvyan was born on 21 June 1840.¹ He was the son of Reverend Vyell Francis Vyvyan and Anne Taylor.² He was baptised on 4 September 1840 at Withiel, Cornwall, England.³ He married Marie Sleman, daughter of Richard Sleman, in 1871.¹ He died on 17 November 1919 at age 79.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Bengal Infantry.¹

     Marie Sleman was the daughter of Richard Sleman.² She married Colonel Richard Octavius Vyvyan, son of Reverend Vyell Francis Vyvyan and Anne Taylor, in 1871.¹ She died on 15 January 1922.¹

     Richard Trefusis Vyvyan was born on 30 November 1872.¹ He was the son of Colonel Richard Octavius Vyvyan and Marie Sleman.² He married Edith Madeline de la Cherois, daughter of Daniel de la Cherois, on 3 February 1925.¹ He died on 11 June 1957 at age 84, without issue.¹
     He gained the rank of officer in the Rifle Brigade and DCLI.¹ He fought in the First World War, in Egypt, SAlonika and Palestine.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 1st Battalion, Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry.¹ He was Assistant Commandant in 1916, POW Camp Heliopolis.¹
