Hubert de Vaux is the son of unknown de Vaux.2
He was an ancestor of the Vauxes of Gilsland, an estate which passed through an heiress to Thomas de Moulton, and the Vauxes of Tryermayne, Cumberland, the heiress of which married William le Vaux, of Catterlen, ancestor in the female line of the Barons Brougham and Vaux.1 He held extensive lands, notably the seigneurie from which he took his name near Falaise, Normandy, and various feudal Ldships in the North of England.1 He was living in 1149.1

Oliver de Vaux was the son of Robert de Vaux.2 He married Petronilla (?)1 He died after 1244.1
In 1203 he accompanied King John to Ireland.1 Circa 1218 he opposed King John, hence his lands were forfeited, though they were restored him by King Henry III.1 He held the office of Justice Itinerant circa 1234.1

Petronilla (?) married Oliver de Vaux, son of Robert de Vaux.1 She married Henry de Mara.2 She married William de Longchamps.2

William de Vaux was the son of Oliver de Vaux and Petronilla (?)2 He married Alianore de Ferrers, daughter of William de Ferrers, 5th Earl of Derby and Sibyl Marshal.1 He died on 5 December 1252, without issue.1

Sir William Livingston of Kilsyth was the son of William Livingston of Kilsyth and Marion Forrester.1 He married Lady Christian Graham, daughter of William Graham, 3rd Earl of Menteith and Margaret Moubray, before March 1553.1 He died before 29 January 1596.1
