     Hon. Alice Jane Verney was the daughter of Robert John Verney, 17th Baron Willoughby de Broke and Georgiana Jane Taylor.2 She married Edward William Tritton, son of Henry Tritton and Elizabeth Anne Maxwell, on 30 September 1874.1 She died on 8 January 1882.1
     From 30 September 1874, her married name became Tritton.

     Major Oswald Tritton was born on 28 July 1875.1 He was the son of Edward William Tritton and Hon. Alice Jane Verney.2 He married Violet Margaret Sedgwick, daughter of Reverend Gordon Sedgwick, on 5 August 1914.1 He died on 1 March 1963 at age 87.1
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, Kent, England.1 He was commissioned with the rank of First World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.1
