William Joseph Slim, 1st Viscount Slim1

     William Joseph Slim, 1st Viscount Slim was born on 6 August 1891.1 He was the son of John Slim and Charlotte Tucker.2 He married Aileen Robertson, daughter of Reverend John Robertson, on 1 January 1926.1 He died on 14 December 1970 at age 79.1

     Aileen Robertson was the daughter of Reverend John Robertson.2 She married William Joseph Slim, 1st Viscount Slim, son of John Slim and Charlotte Tucker, on 1 January 1926.1 She died in 1994.1
     She was awarded the Dame of Grace, Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem (D.St.J.)1 She was awarded the Kaisar-i-Hind Medal.1 From 1 January 1926, her married name became Slim. After her marriage, Aileen Robertson was styled as Viscountess Slim on 15 July 1960.

     From 17 January 1953, her married name became Frazer. From 1980, her married name became Rowcliffe.1 She lived in 2003 at Bramson, Puddington, Devon, England.1
