Captain Frederick Erskine Campbell-Johnston was born in 1812.1 He was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Alexander Johnston of Carnsalloch and Louisa Campbell.1 He married Clementina Frances Collier, daughter of Admiral Henry Theodosius Browne Collier and Harriet Nicholas, in June 1855.1 He died in 1896.1

Major Arthur Frederick Dawkins was born on 31 December 1865.2 He was the son of Clinton George Augustus Dawkins and Marianne Jane Robarts.3,4 He married Lady Bertha Mabel Bootle-Wilbraham, daughter of Edward Bootle-Wilbraham, 1st Earl of Lathom and Lady Alice Villiers, on 9 May 1903.1 He died on 27 March 1905 at age 39.2
