     Sir John St. Clair of Hermanstoun is the son of Sir John St. Clair of Hermanstoun and Mary Richardson.2 A contract for the marriage of Sir John St. Clair of Hermanstoun and Elizabeth Sinclair was signed on 3 June 1629.1
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Haddington from 1644 to 1645.1

     Sir John Sinclair of Stevenson, 1st Bt. is the son of Matthew Sinclair, 9th of Longformacus and Elizabeth Swinton.2 He married Marion McMath.2 He died circa 1649.2
     He held the office of Magistrate.1 He was an Edinburgh merchant.2 He was a merchant at Burgess and Baillie.1 He purchased the Stevenson estate, Haddingtonshire in 1624.2 He was created 1st Baronet Sinclair [Nova Scotia] on 18 June 1636.2

     Elizabeth Sinclair was the daughter of Sir John Sinclair of Stevenson, 1st Bt. and Marion McMath.2,3 A contract for the marriage of Elizabeth Sinclair and Sir John St. Clair of Hermanstoun was signed on 3 June 1629.1 She died circa 6 April 1686. She was buried on 9 April 1686.
     From 3 June 1629, her married name became St. Clair.

     Ann Winstanley was born in 1824 at Wigan, Lancashire, England.1 She was the daughter of William Winstanley.1 She married Henry Cockburn Milne Ximenes, son of Lt.-Gen. Sir David Ximenes and Eliza Mary Evans, on 12 July 1841 at St. James, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.1
     From 12 July 1841, her married name became Ximenes.1

     Lt.-Gen. Sir David Ximenes was born circa 1778.1 He was the son of David Ximenes and Abigail Mendez.1 He was baptised on 20 February 1809 at St. George Hanover Square, London, England.1 He married Eliza Mary Evans, daughter of Admiral Andrew Fitzherbert Evans and Johoaddon Tucker, circa 1 November 1816 at Bermuda.1 He died circa 23 August 1848.1 He was buried on 26 August 1848 at St. Mary, Wargrave, Berkshire, England.1
     He was appointed Knight Commander, Hanoverian Order (K.C.H.) on 14 July 1832.1
