     Veronica Rankin was the daughter of Sir James Rankin, 1st Bt. and Annie Laura Bushell.2 She married John Ellison Otto on 20 April 1909.1 She died on 29 October 1960, leaving issue.1
     From 20 April 1909, her married name became Otto.1

     John Ellison Otto married Veronica Rankin, daughter of Sir James Rankin, 1st Bt. and Annie Laura Bushell, on 20 April 1909.1 He died on 9 November 1952.1
     He was admitted to Inner Temple entitled to practise as a barrister.1

     Sir Hubert Charles Rhys Rankin, 3rd Bt. was born on 8 August 1899 at Tunisia.1 He was the son of Sir James Reginald Lea Rankin, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Nest Rice.2 He married, firstly, Helen Margaret Stewart, daughter of Sir Charles John Stewart and Lady Mary Catherine Graham-Toler, on 9 April 1932.1 He married, secondly, Robina Kelly on 23 December 1946.1 He died on 25 April 1988 at age 88 at Dunkeld, Perthshire, Scotland.1,3
     He was given the name of Hubert Charles Rhys Rankin at birth.1 He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, EnglandG.1 He gained the rank of trooper between 1920 and 1922 at Ireland in the 1st Royal Dragoons, he was invalided.1 He was Vice-President of the Scottish National Library Association in 1928.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Rankin, of Bryngwyn, co. Hereford [U.K., 1898] on 10 September 1931.1 On 8 April 1932 his name was legally changed to Hubert Charles Rhys Stewart Rankin by deed poll.1 He was 1st British Delegate at the 1st Pan-European Muslim Conference in 1935 at Geneva, Switzerland.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was President of the British Muslim Society.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Indian Army Service Corps.1 He was Vice-President of the World Buddhist Association in 1946.1 In August 1946 his name was legally changed to Hubert Charles Rhys Rankin by Scottish licence.1 He was a councillor in 1948 at Blairgowrie and Rattray, Perthshire, Scotland.1 He held the office of County Councillor (C.C.) for Perthshire in 1949.1 He was a member of the Standing Council of Baronetage between 1979 and 1988.1

     Arthur Niall Talbot Rankin was born on 6 August 1904.1 He was the son of Sir James Reginald Lea Rankin, 2nd Bt. and Hon. Nest Rice.2 He married Lady Jean Margaret Florence Dalrymple, daughter of John James Dalrymple, 12th Earl of Stair and Violet Evelyn Harford, on 10 October 1931.1 He died on 7 April 1965 at age 60.1
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He graduated from Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Scottish Guards (Emergency Reserve.)1 He was registered as a member of the Royal Company of Archers.1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Geographical Society (F.R.G.S.)1 He was appointed Fellow, Royal Photographic Society (F.R.P.S.)1 He wrote the book Haunts of British Divers.1 He wrote the book Antarctic Isle.1 He wrote other ornithological treatises.1
