     Heinrich II Landgraf von Hessen was born circa 1299. He was the son of Otto Landgraf von Hessen and Adelheid Gräfin von Ravensburg.1 He married Elisabeth von Meißen, daughter of Friedrich I Markgraf von Meißen and Elisabeth Gräfin von Lobdaburg-Arnshaugk, circa 1319. He and Elisabeth von Meißen were divorced in 1340. He died on 3 June 1376.
     Heinrich II Landgraf von Hessen also went by the nick-name of Heinrich 'Ironside'.1 He succeeded to the title of Landgraf von Hessen in 1328.1

He married, firstly, Agnes of Carinthia, daughter of Conrad IV Hohenstaufen, King of Sicily and Elisabeth von Wittelsbach, circa 1286. He married, secondly, Elisabeth Gräfin von Lobdaburg-Arnshaugk, daughter of Hartmann XI Graf von Lobdaburg-Arnshaugk and Elisabeth von Orlamünde, on 24 August 1300. He died on 16 November 1323.
     Friedrich I Markgraf von Meißen also went by the nick-name of Friedrich 'the Bold' von. He gained the title of Markgraf von Meißen. He gained the title of Landgraf von Thuringe.

     Albrecht I Herzog von Braunschweig was born circa 1236. He was the son of Otto I Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg and Matilde von Brandenburg.1 He married, firstly, Elizabeth de Brabant, daughter of Henri II, Duc de Brabant and Sophie von Thuringe, on 13 July 1254. He married, secondly, Adelheid de Montferrat, daughter of Boniface III de Montferrat, Marquis de Montferrat and Margaret di Savoia, circa 1263. He died on 15 August 1279.
     Albrecht I Herzog von Braunschweig succeeded to the title of Guelph.1 Albrecht I Herzog von Braunschweig also went by the nick-name of Albrecht 'the Great'.1 He succeeded to the title of Herzog von Braunschweig in 1252.1

     Adelheid de Montferrat was the daughter of Boniface III de Montferrat, Marquis de Montferrat and Margaret di Savoia. She married Albrecht I Herzog von Braunschweig, son of Otto I Herzog von Braunschweig-Lüneburg and Matilde von Brandenburg, circa 1263. She died on 6 February 1285.
     Adelheid de Montferrat was also known as Alessina de.
