     Sir Henry Savile was born on 30 November 1549.¹ He was the son of Henry Savile and Elizabeth Ramsden. He married Margaret Dacres, daughter of George Dacres.¹ He died on 19 February 1621/22 at age 72, without surviving male issue.¹
      He tutored Queen Elizabeth I in Greek.¹ He was the Warden at Merton College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He was educated in 1568 at Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He was founder of the Savilian Chairs of Astronomy and Geometry Oxford.¹ He was Envoy to Low Countries.¹ He was the Provost in 1596 at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was invested as a Knight in 1604.¹

     George Dacres lived at Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, England.¹

     Margaret Dacres is the daughter of George Dacres. She married, secondly, Sir Henry Savile, son of Henry Savile and Elizabeth Ramsden.¹ She married, firstly, George Gerrard, son of Sir William Gerrard.¹

     Elizabeth Savile is the daughter of Sir Henry Savile and Margaret Dacres.¹ She married Sir John Sedley, 2nd Bt. in 1613.¹
