     He lived at Isell, Cumberland, England.1 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Lawson, of Isell [E., 1688] on 11 November 1704.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Boroughbridge between 1718 and 1722.3 He was educated at Queen's College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.3 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Cockermouth between 1722 and 1737.3

     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Banbury between 1722 and 1727.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Newport, Isle of Wight between 1741 and 1747.2 He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Cope, of Hanwell, co. Oxford [E., 1611] on 8 December 1749.1 He lived at Hanwell, Oxfordshire, England.1
